We will be posting a series that will review equipment for committed enthusiasts and aspiring pros.
Thus far, most of the equipment we've reviewed on our blog have been usable for candid shots. By contrast, the equipment here are usually for setup shots, when considerations of time, convenience, and/or cost take a backseat to emphasis on control and getting the best result possible.
If you have been taking mostly candid (as opposed to setup) shots, these reviews are an opportunity to view another side of photography. You may also be interested in these equipment for taking setup portraits.
In these reviews, we will not only talk about the product itself but also the rationale for using them. We're not equipment snobs and we're not going to assume their value but instead continuously prod the justification for their use. If we blow a few myths along the way, so much the better. :)
